Remember the days of spacer gifs :) Did you ever make wireframes back then? Probably not, but you probably do now. Andy Rutledge has a great post on why wireframes are useful, but more importantly where they fall short. If you have any care at all for design and design process you probably should imo follow his blog. On those topics he is someone with great knowledge and a great writing style.
